Girls' High School
Keeping public space public
Sign the petition and help reclaim the public land our city has taken for private use on the historic Girls’ High School Campus. Together we can protect our neighborhood’s vital shared spaces and public assets.
Our local city council representative, along with other city officials, fast tracked a plan to take public land for private use on the historic Girls’ High School Campus. This was an intentional plan, designed to avoid community engagement, ignoring the voices and needs of the residents it will most affect.
For 140 years the campus has stood as an engine of racial equity and economic mobility, and we are committed to continuing that legacy. We have submitted an article 78 petition in Kings County Supreme Court, challenging the approval process.
Sign the petition to tell the City that development at the Girls' High School Campus must be community-led, transparent, and accountable to residents.

Protect Bed-Stuy's Future
Sign the petition to help secure landmark designation for the Stuyvesant North Historic District, preserving the architectural and cultural legacy of our neighborhood.
Stuyvesant North is home to some of Bed-Stuy's most historic blocks, filled with brownstones and generations of Black Brooklyn history. The recent demolition of the Dangler Mansion proves what's at stake when historic buildings are left without adequate protections.
In 2026, the Historic Districts Council selected Stuyvesant North as part of its "Six to Celebrate" initiative. Stand with your community to protect it.
